The VALENTINO Group (the collective corporate entity comprising VALENTINO S.p.A. and VALENTINO USA Inc.) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”).

(b) Web Beacons or Tracking Pixels - A web beacon, or tracking pixel, is a small image file on a web page that may be used to collect certain information from your device for the purpose of keeping track of user behavior, web traffic, site conversions, and enhanced conversion. This information may include the IP address, time of access, browser, and identification of cookies. On the Website, we use beacons and tracking pixels for several platforms, including Adobe Analytics, Google Ads, Tik-Tok and Contentsquare. With your consent, we or our vendors, may utilize web beacons to track visitor statistics to the Website and manage cookies, as well as help inform advertisements on third-party platforms. This includes activities related to enhanced conversions, particularly in collaboration with Google, Meta, and TikTok, where hashed user data may be used to improve the accuracy of conversion tracking based on activity tracked from your browser or device. Additionally, these tools help identify return traffic from third-party platforms such as social media applications, and for third-party web analytics.
(c) Log Files and Browsing Data - This information is sent automatically to us by your browser each time you visit the Website. The transmission of this information is not dependent on the presence or use of cookies and is unaffected by your opt-in or opt-out election concerning cookies. These logs may contain information such as the Internet domain from which you access the Website; the date and time you visited the Website; the areas of the Website that you viewed; your computer’s IP address that is automatically assigned when you log onto the Internet; the type of browser and operating system you use; the address of the website you came from, if any; and the webpage addresses requested by or sent to you.
(d) Other tracking technologies – With your consent, we or our vendors may also use other tracking technologies, including, but not limited to mobile advertising IDs, tags and scripts to collect information about your visits to the Website and your behavior while on the Website. This information is used for improving user experience, to deliver targeted advertisements to you across the internet based on your Website usage, and for enhanced conversion. They are also used to inform us or our vendors when an advertisement they run on another website has been clicked on by users, and use that information to judge which advertisements are more appealing to users.
(i) Analysis: As detailed in Section 7. below, by giving your express consent, we may process your personal data (e.g. data related to your purchases and preferences) to study shopping habits and choices. (j) Fraud Prevention - Please note that we may process your data (such as identification data, payment data, localization, purchase data) for the prevention and suppression of fraud and/or of illegal behaviour or behaviour that is contrary to current regulations, applicable contractual provision, as well as fairness and good faith. Please note that we may process any data that you have provided to complete a purchase (such as personal details, purchase data, delivery and contact details, payment preferences and data related to specific pre e post sale requests) in order to process and complete your purchase of products on the E-Store. Such activities include all interactions we deem necessary for the sale, as well as for any pre- and after-sales activities and assistance, and related services, including those provided in Stores worldwide. These activities encompass aspects concerning return rights, statutory and contractual guarantees and product assistance.

Some web browsers have “Do Not Track” features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. The Website does not currently process or respond to “Do Not Track” signals.
4. TYPE AND PURPOSE OF PROCESSING PERFORMED WHEN YOU VISIT OUR STORES

We may collect personal information from you when you visit our Stores or use it for the purposes noted below.
(a) Purchases and Services. When you purchase our products or obtain assistance in our Stores, we collect the information necessary to process your purchase or to furnish the assistance that you requested. We may collect, to the extent permitted by applicable law, information such as your name, billing and/or mailing address, telephone number, identification number (such as driver’s license, ID card or passport number) and payment details (such as a checking account, credit card or debit card number). We may also collect information about the items you purchase, including the purchase price and payment method, to furnish the products and services to you and to communicate with you and for marketing purposes.
(b) Customer Satisfaction Surveys. When you purchase our products or obtain assistance in our Stores, we may ask you to take a customer satisfaction survey. If you have granted consent, this invitation may be sent also via email or WhatsApp. We may use the information you provide to us in a survey to improve our products and services and to communicate with you.
(c) Customer Service. You may contact our customer service department by telephone for information about our products and services. During your call, we may ask you to provide us with certain demographic information, including, but not limited to, your name, address and telephone number. We may use the information you provide to our customer service department to respond to your request and to process any purchase that you may make with us by telephone. With your consent given at the beginning of the phone call, the call may be recorded to enable Valentino to monitor its service offered to customers
Information Collected Automatically
We may collect, to the extent permitted by applicable law, certain personal information automatically when you visit our Stores as noted below.
(d) Cameras. We may use cameras, sensors, digital recordings, photography and/or other similar technology to monitor our Stores for any lawful purpose, including to deter theft, to provide security and to operate the Stores. We may also collect images that show how you move through a Store so that we may analyze traffic patterns to determine whether to change the layout of the product displays in the Store and to otherwise improve a shopper’s experience in our Stores.
(e) Wi-Fi Data Analytics. We may use technology provided by one or more third-party service providers that detects and analyzes Wi-Fi signals (or other technology such as Bluetooth) from your mobile devices, including smartphones or other wireless devices, to determine traffic patterns and gather other statistical information about shoppers in our Stores. The technology used for such analysis identifies your mobile devices by their device identifiers; however, the service provider obscures the devices’ identifiers by hashing them prior to undertaking its analysis. We receive only aggregate statistics about shoppers in our Stores from the service provider and use that information to improve a shopper’s experience and for operational purposes.
Our products are available at certain retailers in the United States (a “Third-Party Retailer”). This Policy does not apply to the manner in which a Third-Party Retailer collects, uses, maintains and discloses personal information that you provide to the Retailer when you shop at its store. Please review the Third-Party Retailer’s privacy policy for information about the Retailer’s use of your personal information. We are not responsible for the privacy policy of any Third-Party Retailer.

We will process, by automatic means, the value purchased within a framework of time, the frequency of the purchases (even if the purchases are made during the sale period) and the kind of product purchased (accessories, clothes, haute couture, pret-a-porter). We will not proceed with an intrusive study of the users’ behaviour, and the study is only intended to propose to clients and users products, services and initiatives more responsive to their tastes and needs.
Moreover, please note that with the user's express consent given on the Website’s cookies banner, we can process personal data through an automatic means to study cookies. This analysis helps verify the user’s navigation through the Website and to propose products and services in line with the navigation. In connection with this, we may also engage in enhanced conversion activities, where any personal data used for this purpose is hashed to ensure privacy, thereby improving the accuracy of our analysis while protecting user information.
8. PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING METHODS CARRIED OUT BY US
The personal data collected through the Website and by cameras and/or by Wi-Fi, is primarily processed using computer and electronic means, adopting security measures in order to reduce to a minimum the risks of destruction or loss, including accidental loss, unauthorized access, unlawful processing, or processing that is not compliant with the purposes of collection indicated in this Policy.
However, these measures, due to the nature of the online transmission method, cannot limit or completely exclude the risk of unauthorized access, or dissemination of data. With the exception of the navigation data (e.g. some cookies (governed by our Cookie Policy), web beacons and log file information), data gathered for fraud prevention purposes) and of images and other data gathered by cameras in our Stores, the provision to us of personal data, both for requests and queries, and for the purposes of marketing and analysing consumer habits and preferences, is voluntary and optional. Failure to provide such data does not limit the use of the Website, although it may make it impossible for us to respond to requests (including pre and after sales assistance requests) for information and queries, or to furnish customized products and services, or to send informational material, updates, newsletters and invites to our events.
The provision of some of your data, such as personal details, email address, postal address, telephone number and bank details in case of credit card payments, is essential to process your order.
Some of your data, moreover, may be necessary for providing you other services made available on the Website in connection with the sales (e.g. post sales and pre sales services such as made to measure services, pickup in Stores service, delivery, exchange, etc.) or for discharging our legal and/or regulatory obligations (such as tax obligations and anti-money laundering). If you fail to provide us with the necessary data we request, we might not be able to process the purchase and/or provide the related services.

For example, the personal identifiers (including email addresses, phone numbers) and usage data collected by the cookies, web beacons and log files may be shared with our analytics vendors and partners (such as Meta, Google, TikTok, and Contentsquare) that may use such information for the purposes of targeted behavioural advertising and enhanced conversion across different platforms. Such disclosure is treated as a sale of personal data in certain jurisdictions. 11. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFER
Your personal data will be transferred abroad only if adequate levels of protection and sufficient safeguards, as provided for by the law, are guaranteed, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (please see here the relevant standard as approved by the EU Commission) and prodded with a data transfer impact assessment, in order to protect the transferred personal data.

12. STORAGE PERIOD
Personal data collected and processed by the Website will be stored for the period of time indicated here below, after which the data are technically deleted or rendered totally anonymous using means that prevents it to be recovered. We may retain your personal information for a longer period if there are valid legal grounds for doing so, for example, in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.
